Hi Chris: This is what Ronald Wright’s remarkable novel A Scientific Romance (I review it here: http://blogs.salon.com/0002007/2006/04/12.html#a1495 ) was about. Consideration of such a world requires great imagination, and is better facilitated by story than by scientific analysis.
