I can&#8217;t remember F451 well enough to remember what I should be here!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?<\/strong><br \/>\nKerewin, the Maori protagonist of The Bone People by Keri Hulme<\/p>\n<p>I read this book at a time in my life when I had violently lost someone I loved.  Kerewin was a timely companion to see me through that grief.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The last book you bought is:<\/strong><br \/>\nThoreau&#8217;s Method: A Handbook for Nature Study by David Pepi<\/p>\n<p>Just picked this up at a used bookstore and devoured it.  Lovely work looking at a methodology for being in nature (and not just wilderness).<\/p>\n<p><strong>The last book you read:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Life of Pi by Yann Martel<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This story will make you believe in God.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are you currently reading?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Way of the Earth by TC McLuhan<br \/>\nShingwauk&#8217;s Vision: A History of Native Residential Schools by JR Miller<br \/>\nTreasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson (with my daughter)<br \/>\nWalden by Henry David Thoreau<\/p>\n<p><strong>Five books you would take to a deserted island:<\/strong><br \/>\nFlow by John Ashbery<br \/>\nA Poet in New York by Lorca<br \/>\nCosmic Canticle by Ernesto Cardenal<br \/>\nCollected Poems of TS Eliot<br \/>\nTao Te Ching by Lao Tzu<\/p>\n<p>(and also, could I have a CD filled with Project Gutenberg?  And something to read it on?)<\/p>\n<p>Lots of poetry.
