I’m really enjoying finding poetry that seems to relate, in an off-handed way, to hosting and the process arts.Here is Andrea Baker, from the new issue of TYPO 9:<\/a><\/p>\n

PROPOSAL<\/p>\n

Each
\npoint was also a center<\/p>\n

at the grief<\/p>\n

which was
\nmany-centered<\/p>\n

and gatherings hungered<\/p>\n

in the throat
\nand at the mouth<\/p>\n

of each many-grief<\/p>\n

which all foamed
\nto begin<\/p>\n

a new burden<\/p>\n

to lay fresh
\non the world<\/p>\n

so
\nI set out a bowl
\nfor light to rest in<\/p>\n

as long
\nas the long breath pushing<\/p>\n

but what is random
\nnever quiets<\/p>\n

and the will was random
\nwas pulling<\/p>\n

the shadow into darkness<\/p>\n

and spreading itself<\/p>\n

or wrapping its own
\nwonder<\/p>\n

content
\nand fresh
\nabout the world<\/p>\n

PROPOSAL<\/p>\n

Small crumbs of darkness<\/p>\n

swept about the field<\/p>\n

as wind campaigned against
\nthe breath<\/p>\n

and in the heat of the breath<\/p>\n

laid down its own burdens<\/p>\n

which the wind insists
