The illustrated version

I have been receiving a lot of email about the essay.  One American woman wrote me to say how much she enjoyed my illustrated version.

I was a little perplexed.  I hadn't illustrated the piece.  It was written on an email program for distribution to two LISTSERVs.  i asked her to send me the file.

When I saw it I was blown away.  A German illustrator, Reinhard Kuchenmuller had drawn the most amazing pictures and, with the help of LOGOPRINT F. Hoepker, he  published them with my words.

Since then, another German, jennyr humberg, has made it into a Web page, and started a discussion forum about the piece.

You can download the .pdf version of the essay here. For some reason I can't get this file to open simply by clicking on it.  So, just right click on this link and select "Save Target As..." or "Save Link As..."  Once you have downloaded the file, open it by clicking on it.

You need Adobe Acrobat to read this file.  If you don't have it, you can get it free of charge from Adobe.
